Mark Ronson Thanks Greta Gerwig for ‘I’m Just Ken’ ‘Shred Fest So the Boys Could Cry’

'Barbie' track 'I'm Just Ken' takes home the Critics Choice Award for Best Song on Sunday.

Mark Ronson and Ryan Gosling attend the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards at Barker Hangar on January 14, 2024 in Santa Monica, California. Ronson also thanked star and co-producer Margot Robbie, and shouted-out director-writer Greta Gerwig, along with her co-writer husband Noah Baumbach, for the opportunity to create the song. “The fact that you carved out 11 minutes for this prog rock, power ballad, dream ballet, shred fest so the boys could cry and hold hands a little, too, we’re really forever in your debt for that,” he told Gerwig from the stage.
