Mark Hoppus to Release Tell-All Memoir: ‘Shit Gets Dark’
Mark Hoppus announced book 'Farenheit-182,' which will detail his time in Blink-182, his cancer and mental health struggles, and his upbringing.
“Pre-order now, and we’ll throw in at no extra cost to you, anxiety, depression, band breakups, loss of self, suicidal thoughts and ideation, and, of course, everyone’s favorite: cancer!” The musician is of course referring to his yearslong battle with large B-cell lymphoma, Blink-182’s numerous breakups and reunions over the years, and his open struggles with mental health. According to the book’s synopsis, the memoir will reveal “what happens when an angst-ridden kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, moves around the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate.”
