Mark Dodson Dies: ‘Star Wars’ And ‘Gremlins’ Voiceover Artist Was 64


Voice artist Mark Dodson died at 64 while traveling to attend a Horror Con.

Mark Dodson, whose unique voice characterizations propelled creatures in the films Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Gremlins, has died at 64. Dodson was the voice of Salacious Crumb, the scruffy little creature who was a cackling crony of Jabba the Hut in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. He worked continuously for several decades in film, video games, radio and commercials as a voice artist.
