Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU says she is 'stronger than I've ever been' as she approaches 60: 'I'm so proud of it and I'm grateful'
Mariska has two milestones in the offing: She turns 60 in two weeks, and then in September of this year she will celebrate the 25th anniversary of her hit series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Her saucy career ran alongside a tempestuous personal life that included a spiraling drinking problem and affairs with men as prominent as John F. Kennedy. Mariska is pictured last month filming Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in New York City with (from left) Kevin Kane, Octavio Pisano and Ice T After Jayne's tragic death, Mariska moved in with her father, who was able to provide her with a stable upbringing until she ventured into acting herself, most famously with her popular role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
