Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg Donate $5 Million to MPTF for Wildfire Relief

Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg are donating $5 million for film and television workers affected by the recent L.A. fires.

“Marilyn and I are heartbroken for our friends and colleagues whose lives have been turned upsidedown, especially in the industry that has meant so much to us, and we hope our contribution can help provide comfort and resources in this moment,” Katzenberg continued. The Motion Picture and Television Fund supports requests for aid with financial assistance, counseling for needs including rent, house payments, medical bills and navigating insurance for working and retired industry members, as well as providing access to resources with other organizations. Jim Gianopulos, MPTF Board Chair, added, “Our Social Services team has been incredible at mobilizing for those who need them – not only for financial assistance but also for case management through the network of other resources that can be difficult to understand and strategize for someone navigating enormous challenges and devastating loss.
