Mariah Carey's brother accuses singer of orchestrating YouTube video with her fan to 'destroy' his reputation in new legal filing
Mariah Carey's brother Morgan filed a proposed amended complaint in their four-year legal battle on March 21 where he brought new allegations such as alleged scheming with a fan.
Mariah Carey's brother is claiming that one of her 'lamb' fans, who was under her'employment and control', created a deep-dive YouTube video to further 'damage' his reputation, five years after the singer's abuse allegations in her 2020 memoir. In one clip that uses Mariah's narration from her memoir's audiobook, the singer states Morgan and her mother Patricia were working 'on the side of the record company' to have her institutionalized so that they could take control of her financial affairs. Morgan's lawyers said the memoir has resulted in significant damages in his professional life, citing negotiations with Italian producer Francesco Pamphili for a 'film project' in development being 'abruptly broken off' when the news broke about the contents of Mariah's book.
