Mariah Carey Unveils Anniversary Edition of ‘Rainbow’ With a Brand-New Song: Stream It Now

Mariah Carey unveiled her expanded, 25th anniversary edition of 'Rainbow' on Friday (June 14). Stream it now.

Alongside a series of new remixes of some of the superstar’s mega hits like “Heartbreaker” and “Thank God I Found You,” the new edition of the LP comes with a brand-new track titled “ Rainbow’s End,” produced by Carey and her longtime collaborator David Morales. On the new song, Carey takes the “Rainbow” interlude from her original album and crafts it into its own, full-length track, conjuring up the image of herself as a heartbroken woman seeking solace after the end of a contentious relationship. While fans can listen to the new version of Carey’s classic album on streaming services today, the singer is also making the 25th-anniversary edition available as a 2-LP rainbow picture disc set, which releases on Oct. 11.
