Maria Elena Salinas Exits ABC News After Two Years: “Now I Can Really Retire. (Maybe?)”


María Elena Salinas is exiting ABC News after two years.

Salinas took to her social media to share that she was exiting the news organization and reflected on her time there. Salinas also thanked ABC News Live and Kimberly Godwin “who believed I had something to offer to English language viewers after a lifetime of working en español at Univision.” The television journalist began her career in 1981 as a reporter and anchor for Univision’s LA affiliate KMEX-TV.
