Released in cinemas in 2022, the Damien Chazelle directed movie is set in Hollywood in the 1920s before the Hays Code was introduced, prohibiting profanity, nudity, drug use, sexual 'perversion,' and inter-racial relationships on screen. Babylon tells a tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, that traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.
