Margo Price Opens Up About Nose Operation in Personal Essay

Margo Price has written a personal essay about her decision to get operations on her nose, including septoplasty and rhinoplasty.

“I didn’t recognize the person staring back at me,” she wrote in the Substack missive, “As Plain as the Nose on My Face.” “I was bruised and battered, like I had just been in the boxing match of a lifetime and my face was swollen and covered with bandages. The pain reached its inflection point last year on a flight into Rhode Island for the Newport Folk Festival, where she wanted to pay tribute to her friend, John Prine. “She then put in a call to the pharmacy for Flonase nasal spray, prescription meds, more Afrin and then instructed me to wait a couple extra days before flying back on the airplane.
