After “I Hope I Never Fall in Love” dropped, the vocalist once again explained the song’s meaning in a follow-up Instagram post, noting that it’s about “the afterglow of a s–tshow.” “it’s a bittersweet heartbreaker because I’m in self-protection mode but still want to feel things,” she continued.
