Marcia Hines takes to the stage to perform in Grease The Musical at Sydney's Capitol Theatre just days after health emergency


The singer, 70, has returned to performing just more than a week after she was rushed to hospital after collapsing and injuring her head on the set of Australian Idol.

She was joined on stage by her co-stars Jay Laga'aia (Vince Fontaine), Annelise Hall (Sandy Olsson), Patti Newton (Miss Lynch) and Joseph Spanti (Danny Zuko) for the performance Speaking about the musical, Joe said it was a privilege to perform it in Australia as he paid tribute to the movie's leading Aussie star Olivia Newton John, who died in 2022. She collapsed in her dressing room ahead of the first half of the Australian Idol final on March 24 (she is pictured with her fellow judges Kyle Sandilands and Amy Shark)
