Malibu Brush Fire Burns 2 Structures & 50 Acres Amid Dangerous Santa Ana Winds
As of Wednesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department had the Malibu brush fire contained at 50 acres.
Video of the scene showed at least one beachfront home on Malibu Road that was on fire. The Broad Fire was sparked at about 9am near Pacific Coast Highway and Malibu Canyon Road, following a red flag warning of critical fire danger due to a combination of the Santa Ana winds and low humidity. Malibu officials are urging residents to shelter indoors and be prepared to evacuate if conditions worsen, as all lanes of PCH have been closed from Corral Canyon to Webb Way.
