Penneys has issued an urgent recall of a popular item due to a serious health risk, urging customers to cease use right away. However, some types have been linked to serious health issues, including certain cancers, abnormal reproductive systems, early onset puberty and obesity. The European Parliament is moving to ban chemicals called endocrine disruptors, which includes phthalates, in the manufacture of children's toys.
