Maika Monroe Joins Kornél Mundruczó’s ‘Place To Be’
Maika Monroe has joined 'Place to Be,' the latest indie drama from 'Pieces of a Woman's Kornél Mundruczó.
Ellen Burstyn and Taika Waititi lead the film examining the unlikely friendship of an elderly woman and middle-aged man as they travel from Chicago to New York to return a lost racing pigeon home. Producers on the project include Jomon Thomas ( Monkey Man, Hotel Mumbai), Megan Wynn ( Together, Poker Face), and Alexander Rodnyansky ( Loveless, Beanpole). No stranger to genre films, Monroe will soon be seen starring opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead in 20th’s reimagining of the classic horror thriller The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
