Magic Johnson celebrated his son EJ on his 32nd birthday and applauded the LGBTQ+ icon for helping others be 'their authentic selves'

In posts on Instagram and X(formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday, June 4, the 64-year-old basketball icon shared a photo of himself and EJ at the Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Sept. 2023. EJ came out as gay in 2013 and went on to star as a lead in the reality series Rich Kids of Beverly Hills in 2019, where he began to grow a loyal fan base. I think that EJ is really taking charge of his career and making his own decisions, and he knows how and what he wants to get into," Magic said, adding that he's "really proud of him because he's getting so involved and letting his voice help other people too."
