Mae Muller claims her former record label pushed her to do 'traumatic' Eurovision song contest which made her lose 'authenticity' as she goes independent to 'get back to being me'
The Eurovision star, 26, competed in the show at Liverpool last year with her track I Wrote A Song, but came second from last.
Mae then released a lengthy video on TikTok, where she opened up on her reasons to leave, accusing both companies of 'panicking' after the pandemic and taking her career in a different direction from what she had wanted. 'And I went from being a singer-songwriter who wrote all her own stuff to suddenly being put on these big dance features and super pop songs that I didn't write just to get me onto radio or to get a hit.'
