Madonna Parties With Selena Gomez & ‘Emilia Pérez’ Cast, Calls the Film a ‘Masterpiece’

This past spring, Gomez and castmates Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón and Adriana Paz collectively won the best actress award at Cannes Film Festival for their work in Emilia Pérez. The Spanish-language musical — which follows a Mexican drug lord (Gascón) embracing her true identity as a woman, will premiere in select theaters in other countries in November, as well as hit Netflix in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. on Nov. 13. According to a report from Bloomberg published Friday (Sept. 6), Gomez now has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion, attributing the “vast bulk” of her wealth to the success of her popular Rare Beauty cosmetics business.
