Madonna Introduces Fans to Her ‘Veronica Electronica’ Alter Ego: ‘Meet My Other Half’

Madonna took to social media to give fans insight into her forthcoming EDM remix album 'Veronica Electronica.'

“Making my Ray of Light album was a seminal moment in my life as an artist,” the Queen of Pop wrote on her Instagram Stories, referencing the mystical, techno-fueled 1998 studio set that is often credited with helping bring electronica into mainstream music, thanks to the success of singles like “Frozen,” “Nothing Really Matters,” “The Power of Good-Bye” and the Grammy-winning title track. Madonna went on to explain that she “ventured into electronic music” with help from Ray of Light producer William Orbit and was inspired by the experience to create “an alter ego” using the name she adopted upon her confirmation into the Catholic church as a child. In subsequent posts, the star shared a black-and-white photo of herself along with an AI-generated video announcing Veronica Electronica as “the long-awaited remix album from the Ray of Light era.”
