Madonna Honors Late Mom in Emotional Mother’s Day Post
Madonna turned a tribute to her mother, Madonna Louise, into a celebration of all mothers in an emotional Mother’s Day post on Sunday, May 12
“I stood on stage for 81 shows staring up at the beautiful face of my mother and wondering what she must’ve been thinking as she waved goodbye to me from her hospital window. Lea Michele, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Hoda Kotb and more stars all felt the love on Sunday, May 12, as they were celebrated. She added, “Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me [to] recover from a near death experience.” (Madonna experienced a serious health scare in June 2023 when she developed a bacterial infection and was put into a medically induced coma.)
