Madonna Explains Why Brooklyn Show Started Two Hours Late After Two Concertgoers Sue Her

The singer's statement comes after a lawsuit was filed earlier this month in the U.S. District Court of Eastern New York.

Madonna and Live Nation are responding to a new lawsuit filed by two concertgoers infuriated after they claimed the Queen of Pop began her concerts in Brooklyn more than two hours late. That the concert ran so late on a weeknight also made it difficult for the plaintiffs "to get up early to go to work and/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day" on fewer hours of sleep. The plaintiffs in court documents accused The Material Girl, 65 -- as well as Live Nation and Barclays Center -- of engaging in "unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices."
