Made In Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump has opened up about his terrifying battle with sepsis, admitting he 'thought he was going to die' after being rushed to hospital

Sam, who is related to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon Lisa Vanderpump, expressed his gratitude for being alive, crediting his girlfriend's swift action in calling an ambulance and getting him to a hospital. As a result of his condition, Sam suffered jaundice which turned his skin and eyes yellow, and he was left with severe water retention due to not being able to pass liquids, necessitating a catheter. Alongside a screenshot of a news article about his health battle, Sam wrote on his Instagram stories: "Been a crazy a month... everyone needs to read this, sepsis kills 134,000 people every day, please research and if you spot any signs get to hospital."
