Macklemore Has Two Words for the World’s Condition on New Song: ‘F-cked Up’

Macklemore's 'F*cked Up' song is another fiery advocation for the people.

On the three-minute, self-produced track, Macklemore opines, “The world’s on fire, we don’t own the water y’all,” a literal commentary on the LA wildfires and a metaphorical evaluation of class disparity. Elsewhere on the horn-driven track, the rapper provides commentary on the Trump administration, Elon Musk’s Naziesque salute, and ICE’s rampant deportation efforts in America. The video starts with a title card with esteemed socialist Eugene V. Debs’ quote that, “The most heroic quote in all languages is ‘Revolution.’” “Fucked Up” is a followup to “Hind’s Hall” and “Hind’s Hall 2,” a pair of pro-Palestine songs Macklemore released last year.
