Mac Miller’s Posthumous Album ‘Balloonerism’ Gets Release Date Set for ‘Circles’ Anniversary
The project will drop five years after his first posthumous album was released.
The Pittsburgh rapper’s family posted a statement on his Instagram explaining why they’ve decided to release the project. “It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm — to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately GO:OD AM and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.” There is a limited edition deluxe vinyl version that comes with a poster, a booklet of photos and lyrics, and a 3D pop-up centerfold.
