The country star & folk icon beautifully trade verses on the “full-circle” duet.
After a huge year with his cover of Tracy Chapman ‘s “Fast Car,” country star Luke Combs gave the folk icon the spotlight at the 2024 Grammys on Sunday (Feb. 4). Throughout the emotive number, the camera showed the star-studded audience singing along with the pair, including Brandi Carlile, Jelly Roll and a visibly moved Taylor Swift standing up to join on the chorus’ line “I had a feeling I could be someone.” 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in July 2023 — was nominated for best country solo performance at Sunday night’s ceremony, which he ultimately lost in the pre-telecast to Chris Stapleton’s “White Horse.”
