Love Island's Mitchel Taylor - 'I lost over tens of thousands after homophobia claims'

Love Island star Mitchel Taylor has opened up about the homophobia claims made against him last year and the effect that they had on his career ahead of his appearance on All Stars

Mitchel, 27, denied the accusations in a statement on social media and explained his side of the story, however he was dropped by his management team shortly afterwards. Speaking about the claims ahead of entering All Stars, Mitchel said that he was "never worried" about being "cancelled" by the public as he was "never homophobic". "It was just someone who said something in order to get a bit of clout because I was very relevant at the time - I lost tens of thousands of pounds worth of work," he said.
