Love Island narrator Iain Stirling's hilarious commentary took an unexpected turn, after he made an awkwardly-timed quip during Friday night's episode of the ITV2 show. Whilst Iain, 36, who hails from Edinburgh and is an avid Liverpool football fan, was joking about Scotland's Euro prospects, it proved to be more ill-timed than expected, as the nation were thrashed 5-1 by Germany in the dramatic match. Iain found himself in hot water during this year's Soccer Aid when he and Sam Matterface, 46, (right) provided the commentary for the game all while urging those at home to donate to the charitable cause
