In 2019, a two-year old cover of En Vogue's Don't Let Go (Love) recorded by emerging singer-songwriter Lusaint became Spotify’s top ten most viral song. The Mancunian singer had no idea how this happened, but it turns out her song was played over a kiss between fan-favourite, Amber Gill, and her love interest. Freya Ridings' single Lost Without You also experienced 'the Love Island effect' when she won a platinum disc in 2018 after soundtracking a pivotal moment in the villa.
