In a Monday interview with the Brazilian news outlet G1 ahead of the Latin American leg of his Faith in the Future World Tour, the singer was asked point-blank about “Larries” — aka the sect of fans who, to this day, are convinced that he and the “As It Was” musician either dated in the past or are still secretly a couple now. Speculation about Tomlinson, who shares 8-year-old Freddie Reign with stylist Briana Jungwirth, and his supposed romance with Styles dates back to 2010, when One Direction was first formed on The X Factor. So strong, in fact, that Sam Levinson’s Euphoria featured a graphic sex scene starring animated versions of Tomlinson and Styles in a 2019 episode, leading the “Always You” artist to tweet his disapproval shortly after it aired.
