Louis Tomlinson fans left injured after 'dangerous stampede' broke out at Brisbane concert during stoush over wristbands among ticketholders vying for front row spots

Louis Tomlinson's fans were caught in a stampede at the Riverstage venue in Brisbane, Australia, where the British singer is set to perform on Tuesday night.

However they were turned away by the venue, with camping prohibited, and promised early arrivers would be granted numbered wrist bands from 9.30am Tuesday morning to keep their position in the queue, the Brisbane Times reports. 'Due to severe weather warnings, council officers acted in the interests of young fans who had queued early, despite the rules against this,' the spokesperson told the Brisbane Times. The pop star, who rose to fame in boy band One Direction, made a low-key arrival into Sydney on Friday morning ahead of his national tour.
