Los Angeles High Schooler A Top Target In Major League Baseball Draft
Bryce Rainer of Harvard Westlake is expected to be a top choice in the MLB draft.
Rainer entered this season as one of the nation’s top high school prospects, and the Harvard Westlake star has lived up to those lofty expectations. “I think it’s pretty cut and dry he’s the best high school player I’ve ever seen,” Harvard-Westlake coach Jared Halpert said to the Los Angeles Times. “There were guys on the mound and at-bat in specific areas maybe nudged him a bit, but when you’re talking all-around athlete, I’ve never seen a kid as well-rounded as he is.”
