Los Alegres Del Barranco's "El Del Palenque" reaches No. 1 on the LyricFind Global chart following the band's cartel imagery controversy.
1 on Billboard ’s LyricFind Global chart dated April 12 following interest in the 2021 song amid the Mexican band’s controversy over a concert during which it showed images of a cartel leader while performing the tune. The company is the world’s leader in licensed lyrics, with data provided by more than 5,000 publishers and utilized by more than 100 services, including Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Microsoft, SoundHound and iHeartRadio. On April 1, it was announced that the U.S. State Department had canceled Los Alegres Del Barranco’s work and tourist visas after it showed images of Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as El Mencho, during a concert in the band’s home country on March 29.
