Lorraine Kelly pauses her live show to announce death of 'special' friend

Lorraine Kelly took a moment on her ITV morning show to pay an emotional tribute to her "special" friend Kris Hallenga, who sadly died from breast cancer earlier this year

Her work led to the successful inclusion of cancer education in school syllabuses and she penned a best-selling book titled Glittering A Turd. Kris' dream was that one day CoppaFeel!, the breast cancer charity she was founder of, would no longer need to exist, in the hope that a late diagnosis of the disease could be completely eliminated. "Kris has reached millions of people with her message of health advocacy and empowerment, successfully campaigned for cancer education to be included in the school curriculum, won the Women of the Year Outstanding Young Campaigner award, received an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from Nottingham Trent University and wrote a Times Best Selling book: Glittering a Turd."
