After a newspaper reported that "alarm bells" often go off about age -gap relationships, the Geordie TV star - who is married to a younger man - stepped in to have her say on the matter. As she responded to the concerns surrounding Alison's personal life, Denise, whose husband Lincoln Townley is almost 15 years her junior, sent a heartening message to both the This Morning presenter and her new partner via social media, saying: "It could also work out brilliantly well and be the best thing that ever happened to her! Though she remained single for a long time, Alison eventually met Ben Hawkins when he was hired to take care of her garden in the West Midlands.
