London’s Mercato Metropolitano Launches Studio After Serving Up ‘Unknown Chefs’ Series Produced by Andrea Iervolino, David Tickle
London's Mercato Metropolitano launches a specialized studio after serving up 'The Unknown Chefs' series produced by Andrea Iervolino, David Tickle.
London’s Mercato Metropolitano food market is opening a studio for TV and movie productions – while still functioning as a sustainable food court – after servicing the shoot of upcoming doc series “The Unknown Chefs” produced by Italy’s Andrea Iervolino and British music producer David Tickle. The “Unknown Chefs” series chronicling the journey of four cooks who sought refuge in the United Kingdom –- respectively from Syria, Namibia, Nepal, and Uzbekistan –- and then managed to turn the food of their homeland into their livelihoods, will drop March 7 on streamers including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Iervolino’s Tatatu platform. Iervolino, whose credits include Michael Mann’s “Ferrari,” Johnny Depp-starrer “Waiting for the Barbarians” and “Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend,” owns a controlling stake in Mercato Metropolitano and recently became president of this pioneering community market.
