Logan Paul admitted to “spreading misinformation” on social media after wrongly calling Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif a man in a since-deleted X/Twitter post. After Khelif’s win in a match against Italian boxer Angela Carini at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday, Paul posted on X: “This is the purest form of evil unfolding right before our eyes. Though Khelif was disqualified from last year’s Women’s World Championships after she failed a gender eligibility test due to elevated levels of testosterone in her system, she was nevertheless allowed to compete at the 2024 Olympics as she did in Tokyo in 2020.
