Lizzo to Play Rosetta Tharpe in Biopic for Amazon MGM Studios
Lizzo will play Rosetta Tharpe in a new biopic titled "Rosetta" for Amazon MGM Studios.
From writers Natalie Chaidez (“The Flight Attendant”) and Kwynn Perry (“Tigerbelles”), “Rosetta” will tell Tharpe’s true story and how she became known as the godmother of Rock & Roll. Lizzo will also produce the film alongside Kevin Beisler and Significant Productions’ Nina Yang Bongiovi and Forest Whitaker. Lizzo is represented by UTA, Full Stop Management and Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks.
