The video opens with Lizzo staring into a mirror in a lonely corridor before cutting to the singer riding shotgun dressed in a leather jacket as she sings, “Tonight, I might make an appearance since I look this fine, and plus, it’s been a while.” Soon, Lizzo finds herself in a club and things get nightmarish quickly, as the partygoers surrounding her momentarily transform into zombie-like creatures and chaos ensures. The new era has begun today, right now, with you, my chat.” In the trailer, the clip opened with Lizzo sobbing while looking at the camera over the eerie sound of a flute playing.
