Liza Minnelli's parents, Judy Garland and Vincente Minnelli, divorced in 1951. She said in a new interview that she didn't hope they'd rekindle after their breakup because they 'didn’t really like each other, so it wasn’t fun to be around them.'

As one of the cover stars for Interview magazine's 55th anniversary editions, Liza, 78, reflected on her childhood and career. During the conversation, conducted inside her West Hollywood home in July, Liza's longtime friend, Michael Feinstein, asked her, "Do you remember when your parents got divorced?" Wizard of Oz star Judy married second husband, director Vincente, in 1945, and they welcomed Liza in 1946.
