Liza Minnelli performs for first time in years with lip-sync to 'Ring Them Bells' at RuPaul's Drag Race finale

Liza Minnelli returned to the stage for a brief but lively lip-sync performance of 'Ring Them Bells' at the 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season 17 finale, bringing the queens to their feet to applaud.

The 79-year-old closed out her appearance on the MTV broadcast with a brief, powerful performance of the classic song "Ring Them Bells," after she accepted the show's Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award from Emmy-winning host RuPaul. The cast of queens watched from the audience, with some of them — like theater performer Suzie Toot — getting emotional in the moment, before the entire room stood to applaud Minnelli as the show went to a commercial break. Minnelli has made fewer appearances in recent years, though she did hit the stage with Lady Gaga at the 2022 Oscars to help the pop star present the award for Best Picture.
