Gladiators host Liz Ellis has revealed that Brendan Fevola was almost her co-host on the rebooted TV series.
Ellis said that although their chemistry as hosts was awkward, the pair 'leant into it,' however this wasn't enough, as she discovered at the last minute that Beau Ryan ended up with the gig. 'I can't believe that #NinjaWarriorAU got cancelled and in 2024 instead we get bodybuilders hitting wannabe gym junkies in the head with oversized cotton buds for 30 seconds,' someone else wrote. One of the key complaints was that the show doesn't use a live studio audience, instead relying on cheering and clapping sound effects.
