Live Aid’s 40th Anniversary to Be Celebrated in New Brook Lapping Docuseries, Featuring Interviews With Bono and Sting
Brook Lapping is producing a documentary series about the Live Aid concerts, featuring interviews with Bono and Sting, for the BBC and CNN.
Conceived by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, the 1985’s Live Aid Concert unfolded at Wembley and lasted for 16 hours, with a sprawling lineup of the world’s greatest musicians, including David Bowie, Madonna, Mick Jagger, Patti LaBelle, Phil Collins, Queen, Spandau Ballet, Sade, Sting, Status Quo, Tina Turner and U2. “Brook Lapping’s legacy of impactful storytelling and its strong relationships with political leaders and iconic figures were crucial in securing exclusive access to the key players behind Live Aid,” said executive producer Tanya Shaw. “Our team worked tirelessly to bring together rare interviews and behind-the-scenes insights, uncovering the untold stories of an event that reshaped global aid and offering a fresh perspective on its lasting influence on music and politics,” Shaw continued.
