In the announcement of the book release, Random House indicated that Keough “carried a guilt” that the memoir had not been finished at the time of Presley’s death and feared the world “would never know the loving, joyful, and caring woman that she knew and grieved.” The book also will address “Lisa Marie’s complicated relationship with her mother Priscilla” and about growing up in the public spotlight including her marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. Lisa Marie led a truly singular life, and we know this book, brought to publication with the guidance of her daughter, will be a beautiful legacy not only for her children but for the generations of people who have loved her.”
