Lionsgate Pushes Mel Gibson’s ‘Flight Risk’ To 2025
‘Flight Risk’ has seen its release date pushed to next year by Lionsgate, the studio announced on Friday.
The film’s previous frame of October 18, 2024 was a good deal busier — Paramount Pictures’ horror pic Smile 2, Neon’s Palme d’Or winner Anora from Sean Baker and Roadside Attractions’ drama Exhibiting Forgiveness being among the titles set to open then. Based on the 2020 Black List script by Jared Rosenberg, Flight Risk follows a pilot (Mark Wahlberg) transporting an Air Marshal (Michelle Dockery), who’s been tasked with accompanying a fugitive (Topher Grace) to trial. Davis Entertainment produced alongside Gibson and Bruce Davey through their Icon Productions, as well as Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios.
