In a statement, Lindsay said that she was 'disappointed' - but now an insider close to the star has revealed that she believes the line should be removed from the final cut altogether.
Lindsay, 37, expressed her upset after Tina Fey's musical remake of the 2004 original saw Megan Thee Stallion referencing 'fire crotch' - an insult that was hurled at the star during her days of hanging out with Paris Hilton, now 42. In the new movie, rapper Megan Thee Stallion, 28, pops up to praise the new popular girl, Cady, played by Angourie Rice, 20 years after Lindsay's portrayal in the original. Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert, who played 'Plastics' Regina George, Karen Smith and Gretchen Weiners, respectively, in the original film do not star.
