Linda Perry spoke to PEOPLE about her tight-knit relationship with her child Rhodes, 9, at the premiere of her documentary 'Linda Perry: Let It Die Here.'
Ahead of the release of her documentary film Linda Perry: Let It Die Here, the musician, 59, spoke with PEOPLE for this week's issue, sharing that Rhodes is a part of everything she does. “And so I'm always teaching and hoping they thrive in life, but it's important to know, ‘Oh, this is where I came from.’ So we have a lot of really awesome talks that I'm so proud of that I can be that type of parent.” Perry continues to explain that her own upbringing and difficult mother-daughter relationship is what initially deterred her from the idea of being a mom.
