Lily Gladstone and Kali Reis are the first Indigenous women to receive acting Emmy Nominations

Nominated alongside Gladstone and Reis are Dakota Fanning (“Ripley”), Jessica Gunning (“Baby Reindeer”), Aja Naomi King (“Lessons in Chemistry”), Diane Lane (“Feud: Capote vs. In the fourth season of the anthology crime series “True Detective: Night Country,” Reis portrays Evangeline Navarro, a half-Dominican state trooper in Ennis, a fictional town in rural northern Alaska, investigating the disappearance of scientists at a local research station. A former world boxing champion in two weight classes, Reis made her acting debut in 2021 in the thriller “Catch the Fair One,” receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for best female lead.
