Lily Gladstone & Kali Reis Become First Indigenous Women To Receive Emmy Acting Nominations
The Emmy Awards made history across various categories including Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series which recognized Lily Gladstone and Kali Reis .
He was recognized for his portrayal of Sitting Bull in HBO’s Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee in 2007 under the “Outstanding Actor in a Miniseries or Move” category. Coming off a busy Oscar season where Gladstone was lauded for her work in Martin Scorcese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, she debuted as Cam Bentland in Hulu’s Under the Bridge alongside Archie Panjabi and Riley Keough. Reis, who is Afro-Indigenous, played Trooper Evangeline Navarro in Issa Lopez’s True Detective: Night Country opposite Jodie Foster and Fiona Shaw.
