Lily Collins Recalls Dad Phil Collins' 'Tarzan' Tribute on Father's Day
Lily Collins celebrated Father's Day by honoring her dad Phil Collins, reflecting on his 'Tarzan' contribution and her journey into motherhood
“Still saying ‘That’s my dad!’ 25 years later,” Lily, 36, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, June 15, sharing throwback footage of Phil, 74, discussing his contributions to the animated film. The retired Genesis musician notably recorded the soundtrack for Disney’s 2002 animated movie Tarzan, which featured the ballad “You’ll Be in My Heart” — a tribute to Lily. The daughter of Genesis drummer Phil Collins and his ex-wife Jill Tavelman, Lily earned her first acting role at two years old on BBC’s Growing Pains.
