On a very minimalist approach, the tracklist is given in black and white and lists 17 songs, including previously released hits such as ‘Dark Thoughts’ and ‘Owa Owa.’ And so everyone is just waiting. Akademiks’ post received an array of comments, and one user dared to say, ‘No gimmicks no drama, just good music.’ And honestly, maybe that’s Tecca’s whole brand. And of course, the haters just had to show up: ‘Yo do ppl really listen to this unauthentic artist?’ came one query, to which a second replied, ‘Better than most rappers fyi.’ The back-and-forth will never stop, but it’s clear that irrespective of all the noise, Tecca does have a committed fan base that will forever support him.
